TARLAC CITY, Tarlac — Italy-based artist Anabel Pangalangan opened her solo art exhibition, Kuwento ng Lapis, on June 30, 2026, at the Diwa ng Tarlac Gallery.
Pangalangan, a native of Tarlac who is currently based in Rome, Italy, stated that the exhibition aims to share her personal journey and inspire others through visual storytelling.
Tarlac Vice Governor Estelita Aquino attended the opening ceremony upon the invitation of the artist.
“It is very unique. She has her own identity. This is the first time we saw a painting with the black color and also yung pencil,” Aquino said.
The Vice Governor added that she will purchase some of Pangalangan’s artworks because of their distinct style and to support the local artist.
The opening was also attended by various art enthusiasts from different regions of Luzon, including Laguna and Nueva Ecija.
