PANIQUI, Tarlac – The Municipality of Paniqui marked a significant milestone in its disaster preparedness and public safety efforts with the official inauguration of its new Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) Command Center on June 30, 2026.
Led by Municipal Mayor Kat Roxas, the inauguration ceremony was attended by DILG Tarlac Provincial Director Zotico Gerson Villanueva, Jr., along with municipal officials, MDRRMO personnel, representatives from the Philippine National Police and Bureau of Fire Protection Paniqui, partner agencies, and other stakeholders.
The newly established command center is designed to serve as the municipality’s central hub for disaster monitoring, coordination, and emergency response operations. It is expected to significantly enhance Paniqui’s capacity to respond swiftly and effectively during emergencies, natural calamities, and other crisis situations.
“Patunay ang proyektong ito sa patuloy na adhikain ng Pamahalaang Bayan ng Paniqui na maghatid ng mas episyente, maagap, at makataong serbisyo para sa bawat Paniqueño,” Mayor Roxas stated in a Facebook post.
The project underscores the local government’s dedication to providing efficient, proactive, and compassionate service to every Paniqueño. With the new facility, the municipality aims to improve coordination among various response agencies and ensure timely delivery of assistance to affected communities.
Provincial Director Villanueva commended the municipal government for its proactive approach to disaster management, emphasizing the importance of local-level preparedness in building resilient communities across the province.
The inauguration of the command center marks another step forward in Paniqui’s ongoing efforts to enhance public safety and emergency response systems, ensuring that the town remains well-prepared for any eventuality.
