TARLAC CITY, Tarlac – A total of 44 residents from Tarlac City have received a significant boost to their entrepreneurial dreams, each receiving P25,000 in livelihood support from the city government.
The initiative, channeled through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), aims to empower residents to start or expand their own small businesses.
The distribution ceremony was held at the Bulwagan ng City Hall on October 26 and was led by Tarlac City Mayor Susan Yap, alongside Councilors Aro Mendoza and Jerome Lapeña, and City PESO Manager Gina Garcia.
In a social media post following the event, Mayor Yap extended her congratulations and best wishes to the beneficiaries, emphasizing the importance of sustainable livelihood in building a brighter future for families.
The mayor underscored that the financial assistance is intended as seed capital for new ventures. She encouraged the recipients to embrace the values of hard work, perseverance, and determination to ensure their businesses grow.
The livelihood program is a flagship initiative of the city government, designed to foster economic self-sufficiency among Tarlaqueños by providing them with the necessary capital to become entrepreneurs. The latest distribution is seen as a direct investment in the city’s grassroots economy, one family at a time.
