All Tarlac province villages now “drug-free”

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga (Nov. 30, 2023) — The Philippine National Police and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) have declared all 511 barangays in Tarlac province as drug-free.

Joining Tarlac declared 100% drug-free are the provinces of Aurora and Bataan. Up to 2,568 of 3,105 barangays in Central Luzon have been declared drug-free.

Barangays are considered drug-free if there is no reported presence of illegal drug users, pushers, or any illegal drug activities at all.

Police Regional Office Director BGen. Jose Hidalgo Jr attributed the achievement to the policeā€™s continued anti-drug operations, which were coordinated with PDEA.
