TARLAC CITY, Tarlac ā Tarlac State University (TSU) President Jasper Jay Mendoza issued Administrative Order No. 27 on Thursday, June 11, formally designating a fresh roster of university officials, college deans, and center directors.
The extensive reappointments and new designations were made in accordance with Section 5 (c) of Republic Act No. 11696, also known as the “Revised Tarlac State University Charter,” following the official approval of the Board of Regents during its 141st Regular Board Meeting on June 8.
The new terms are set to take effect on June 15.
Heading the universityās executive arms under the new order are Brendalyn Manzano as Vice President for Academic Affairs, Marlon Gamido as Vice President for Administration, and NiƱo Corpuz as Vice President for Research, Innovation and Extension.
The restructuring also covers the academic leadership across the university’s various colleges. The newly designated deans include Garry Adviento for the College of Architecture and Fine Arts; Myrel Santiago for the College of Arts and Social Sciences; Roel Alviar for the College of Criminal Justice Education; and Derick Figueroa for the College of Business and Accountancy.
Furthermore, Jerome Legaspi was named Officer-in-Charge of the College of Computer Studies, while Cynthia Quiambao, Miriam Galvez, and Edwin Caoleng will lead the College of Education, College of Engineering, and College of Public Administration and Governance, respectively. Mary Jane Rigor takes the helm at the College of Science, Jose Dela Rama Jr. continues for the School of Law, Bryan Christopher Sico for the College of Industrial Technology, and Janill Magano for the College of Medicine.
Key administrative changes under the Office of the University President include the designation of Grace Dungo as University and Board Secretary, Brigido Corpuz as Presidential Assistant, and Jodie Andrea Pangilinan as the OIC of the Office of Public Affairs.
Several officials were also handed concurrent positions to balance administrative tasks, such as Gamido concurrently heading the Management Information System, and Theodore Timpac steering both the Office of Governance and Quality Management and the Office of Administrative Services.
Under the Research, Innovation, and Extension wing, specialized research arms received their respective heads, including Lea Milan for the Center for Food Technology and Research, Alma Corpuz for the Center for Natural Products Research, and Maria Elena David for the Center for Peace, Indigenous People’s Resources and Development.
In the administrative order, Mendoza emphasized that the newly designated leaders are tasked with steering the institution toward higher academic standards and resilient community service, anchored heavily on the university’s developmental aspirations.
“Together, let us continue to RISE, FORWARD toward a more resilient, future-ready, and globally responsive Tarlac State University,” Mendoza stated in the order.
