CAPAS, Tarlac (April 14, 2026) — The local government of Capas recorded a significant increase in its revenue collection for the first quarter of 2026, reaching over P198 million, according to the latest Income Comparative Report released by the Municipal Treasurer’s Office.
Data showed that total income from January to March this year amounted to P198,683,829.38 — a notable rise from the P183,254,725.40 collected during the same period in 2025.
The report attributed the robust performance to a strengthened and more efficient tax collection system, the digitalization of government processes, and what officials described as honest and orderly governance under the administration of Mayor Roseller “Boots” Rodriguez.
The steady increase in local revenue ensures funding for more infrastructure projects, healthcare programs, education initiatives, and other social services for the people of Capas.
Mayor: ‘Transparency and good governance’
In a Facebook post, Mayor Boots Rodriguez expressed his gratitude to the people of Capas:
The mayor also underscored that the increase is more than just numbers on paper.
The municipal government said the continued upward trend in local collections reflects growing public trust and sets the stage for more development programs across the town.
