TARLAKENYO (July 12, 2024) — After almost a month of silence, the Facebook page of suspended Bamban mayor Alice Guo posted a message for her Ka-Bamban thanking the people for their trust and support.
She started off with, according to her, the ‘Most Frequent [sic] Asked Question’ – “Nagsisi ka ba Alice at pumasok ka sa politika?”
“The answer is HINDI..pero nasaktan ako ng husto nang politika I almost lost myself.”
In her post, studded with at least 107 emojis, she apologized for not being physically present and said that she misses her Ka-Bamban, LGU family, lola, tita, tito, kuya, ate, mare, and pare.
Guo also asked barangay officials “Huwag po pabayaan ang mga constituents at mga kabarangay.”
The local chief executive also reminded the students to continue with their studies and respect their parents. Guo also asked school authorities to continue supporting the students.
“Please continue to support our students to excel and reach their goals. Alam ko mahirap ang pagiging isang guro pero forever ako grateful sa inyong dedication and commitment sa ating mga students,” Guo pleaded.
She then defiantly declared “Ako po ay isang FILIPINO. At MAY MALAKING puso for BAMBAN at mahal na mahal ko ang Pilipinas” in reference to claims from the Philippine authorities that she is Chinese.
