Clark City set to host 2,500 obstacle racers

CAPAS, Tarlac (July 13, 2023) — The New Clark City (NCC) athletics stadium here will host the upcoming Spartan Stadion race this Saturday with 2,500 participants expected to attend.

This is the second consecutive year that the Stadion race is being held at the NCC. Last year, 1,600 racers participated.

The Stadion is a fast, intense, and “stair-full” 5K with 20 obstacles. Drawing on functional fitness training, itā€™s a true test of speed, strength, and willpower making New Clark City Athletics Stadium the perfect venue to take it on. The Stadion is perfect for beginners and experts alike.

“There were a lot of things that we didn’t do [last year], and now we have more obstacles inside the actual stadium,” Spartan Race Philippines General Manager Marc Celis said.

International racers are expected to join as this Spartan Stadion race is the only one to be held in Southeast Asia this year.

Prizes will be awarded to the overall top finishers as well as the top finishers per age group. All finishers will also receive a T-shirt, medal, and professional photos.
