Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis Presley’s daughter, dies at 54

“I must relay the heartbreaking news that my precious daughter Lisa Marie has departed us,” Priscilla Presley stated.

Lisa Marie, another singer, was taken to the hospital early on Thursday. According to US media, she went into cardiac arrest.

According to TMZ, she was discovered unconscious at her home in Calabasas, California.

“She was the most passionate, powerful, and loving woman I have ever known,” Priscilla Presley remarked.

“We want privacy as we attempt to cope with this tremendous loss.”

Her mother provided no information concerning the likely cause of death.

According to a source close to Lisa Marie Presley, the singer was discovered lifeless in her bedroom on Thursday morning. Around the same time, her ex-husband Danny Keough, who also lives on the property, came and began CPR.

According to the publication, she went into “complete cardiac arrest” until a bystander injected epinephrine, often known as adrenaline, to assist her restore a pulse.

Soon later, paramedics arrived and transported Presley to the hospital.

Soon after the star’s death was announced, tributes began to stream in from all around the country.

Grammy award winner Diane Warren expressed her grief at the “terrible news”. “The entire globe is sending love and prayers to Priscilla and Lisa Marie’s children right now,” the singer continued.

Lisa Marie, who was born in 1968, followed in her father’s footsteps and pursued a career in music. Her debut studio album, published in 2003, sold hundreds of thousands of copies and received generally excellent reviews.

The singer was also well-known for a string of high-profile marriages, including those to Michael Jackson, Nicholas Cage, Danny Keough, and Michael Lockwood.

She had four children, one of which was actress Riley Keough. Benjamin Keough, Presley’s son, committed suicide in 2020.

Presley was last seen in public at the Golden Globes Awards in Beverly Hills on Tuesday night.

“It’s hard to take when someone so youthful and full of life goes away,” Beach Boys co-founder Brian Wilson stated.

“I had the privilege to know Cilla Presley while I was on Dancing With the Stars and as a mother, I can’t comprehend the agony she must be going through with the unexpected loss of Lisa Marie,” Oscar-winning actress Marlee Matlin posted on Twitter.

Accompanied by her mother, the couple were spotted in tears when Austin Butler was awarded Best Actor for his depiction of her father.

During an emotional address, the actor thanked the Presley family for their assistance on the set of the film.

“Thank you guys, thank you for opening your hearts, your memories, your home to me,” Butler said. “I love you forever, Lisa Marie and Priscilla.”
