Angeles brings services to remote areas in the city

This was the message of Brgy. Armenia Chairman Carlos ‘Casti’ Castaรฑeda as he gushed at the presence of this city’s Local Chief Executive, Cristina Angeles, and Councilor KT Angeles-Go.

Mayor Angeles and her daughter KT are in this barangay for their now-institution Angel Care Program.

Castaรฑeda also thanked the lady mayor for all the projects she brought to Armenia.

This southwestern barangay is home to 5,608 people with a dependency ratio of 61.59 – meaning, out of 100, 62 are dependents. Most working people in Armenia only rely on farming, and due to the remoteness of the barangay, going to a doctor for check-ups is the least of their priorities.

Angel Care Program is a set of 22 services the local government directly provides to needy people.

Among the services brought to Brgy. Armenia are blood typing, antigen tests, COVID-19 vaccine, reading glasses, late birth registration, legal advice, newborn kits, Trabaho On Wheels, dental, at medical checkups.

Almost 1,650 residents benefitted from the services the city government brought to them.

Armenia is the 47th barangay that Angeles has visited to deliver health and social services to the people.

Angeles said that she will always be there to serve the people and assured those in attendance that all medical expenses will be paid for by the city government and all they have to do is bring the matter to her attention.
