Camiling inaugurates 30-Sow Swine Multiplier Project 

CAMILING, Tarlac (April 15, 2026) — The municipal government of Camiling, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture – Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) Central Luzon, officially inaugurated and turned over the 30-Sow Level Swine Multiplier Project on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in Barangay Bacsay.

The event underscored the municipality’s commitment to strengthening local swine production as part of the broader recovery of the country’s hog industry. Led by Camiling Mayor Joyce Agustin and ATI Central Luzon OIC-Center Director Dr. Emmanuel L. Orogo, the ceremony highlighted the critical role of beneficiaries in ensuring a stable supply of piglets.

During the occasion, officials reiterated continued support to project beneficiaries through training and other capacity-building initiatives to ensure the long-term sustainability of the project. A facility inspection was also conducted to verify its quality and readiness, alongside discussions on the use of a biogas facility as an alternative energy source for more sustainable operations.

In a statement posted on her official Facebook page, Mayor Joyce Agustin expressed her personal commitment to the project.

Naging matagumpay ang Inauguration at Turnover Ceremony ng Camiling 30-Sow Level Swine Multiplier at Techno Demo Farm Project sa Barangay Bacsay, isang proyektong malapit sa aking puso at bahagi ng aking 12-Point Agenda na naglalayong tiyaking may matibay na sandigan ang kabuhayan ng ating mga magsasaka at kanilang mga pamilya,” she said.

She also extended her gratitude to the Department of Agriculture, ATI, Dr. Emmanuel L. Orogo, Dr. Ma. Lorna Baculanta, Mr. Noel C. Regis, Hon. Albert Jose, the Sangguniang Bayan Members led by Hon. Gladys Agustin, the Office for Agricultural Services, and the officials of Barangay Bacsay.

The project is seen as a key step in building a resilient and sustainable agricultural future for Camiling and nearby farming communities.
