BM Arron Villaflor reflects on life lessons in new film ‘Pater Noster’

TARLAKENYO (March 6, 2026) – Arron Villaflor, a first-term Provincial Board Member of Tarlac’s 2nd District, recently reflected on the role of personal failure and growth during the media conference for his upcoming film, “Pater Noster” (Our Father), held at Viva Cafe in Quezon City.

While Villaflor balances his legislative duties in Tarlac with his acting career, his latest role as Peter, the son of a ruthless crime syndicate leader, centers on transformation and moral conflict. When asked if he considered himself a “good son” during his upbringing, the actor-politician offered a candid perspective on the necessity of making mistakes to build character.

“We need also to fall with those mistakes, and those mistakes will turn us to be a stronger human being in all aspects,” Villaflor stated.

The Board Member emphasized that resilience is key when navigating life’s challenges, whether in one’s personal life or public service. He noted that while things will inevitably go wrong at some point, the focus should remain on perseverance.

“Accept the fact na things will get wrong in some moments, but never stop and never quit,” he added.

In the film, Villaflor’s character undergoes a radical personality shift after a life-saving blood transfusion in the city of Milagros. This change leads him to reject the violent criminal empire of his father, Deo, played by veteran actor Archi Adamos. This defiance sparks a brutal conflict between father and son, serving as the central theme of the action-drama.

Adamos, who plays the antagonistic father, shared his own contrasting real-life views on parenthood during the event. He spoke about his support for his LGBT+ child, emphasizing that a father’s role is to guide and ensure his child’s happiness.

“Just to believe in what they say and for them to believe you as a father na iga-guide mo sila maayos,” Adamos remarked.

Directed by Moutaz Kotrob and featuring martial arts expert Kayley Carrigan, “Pater Noster” is scheduled to hit cinemas nationwide on March 25, 2026.

The film highlights the explosive tension that arises when a son chooses a different path than the one his father intended.
