RTV Tarlac FB page hacked

TARLAC CITY, Tarlac (August 18, 2023) — The Facebook Page of RTV Tarlac Channel 26 was hacked.

According to veteran radio broadcaster Marilyn Tiamzon of Radyo Pilipino, this is the second hacking of the Facebook Page.

“This is the second time that they attacked our Page. RTV Manila managed to recover it the first time, but it’s proving more difficult this time,” Tiamzon said.

As of this writing, the RTV Tarlac page still shows the photos of women wearing revealing clothing as Facebook cover and profile photo. Two three-minute video clips of foreign women were also posted.

“I do not know what the purpose of the hacker is but we will strive to deliver our programs one way or the other,” Tiamzon said.

DZTC Radyo Pilipino Tarlac posted an advisory acknowledging the hacking.

“The RTV Tarlac Channel 26 Facebook page has been hacked and the team is working to resolve the issue. The public is advised to temporarily refrain from engaging with the page or performing transactions via its Messenger account.”

RTV Tarlac Channel 26 is the lone TV station Radyo Pilipino Media Group owns. It also owns AM network Radyo Pilipino and FM network One FM.
