GSIS urges LGUs to provide lands for housing

TARLAC CITY, Tarlac (July 29, 2023) — “The basic human right is not only the right of suffrage but also the right to have a roof over our heads.”

This was the pronouncement of Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) President and General Manager Jose Arnulfo Veloso yesterday as he urged local governments in Tarlac to provide lands to support the housing program of President Bongbong Marcos.

Veloso graced the 35th anniversary of the GSIS Tarlac Branch and personally awarded homeownership to four Tarlakenyos last Friday.

“We encourage our LGUs to collaborate with us for the development of their idle lands into housing projects for our government employees. We are also coordinating with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development to ensure the alignment of our goals with their set policies,” Veloso said.

He awarded Transfer Certificate of Titles to new homeowners Bodjie and Glena Pascua, Ferdie Francisco, Rachel Anne Pineda, and Antonio Torres under the new homeowners under the Ginhawa for All Lease with Option to Buy Program.

The Pabahay sa Bagong Bayaning Manggawa sa Pamahalaan is the GSIS’s housing program in support of PBBM’s housing priority.

Tarlac Second District Congressional Representative Christian Yap congratulated GSIS Tarlac Branch on its anniversary.

Yap also congratulated the four new homeowners under the Ginhawa for All Lease with Option to Buy Program.

“Housing is one of his (President Bongbong Marcos) priorities now at nasisiyahan kami na ang GSIS ay tumutulong,” Rep. Yap said.
