CONCEPCION, Tarlac (May 20, 2023) — Tarlac State University and the local government of this town signed a Memorandum of Agreement yesterday that would ensure continued campus operation.
The MOA stipulates that the local government will pay for the campus’s operational expenses and give transportation allowances to the instructors.
The MOA also adds the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering as a new program, bringing the total number of programs at the Concepcion Campus to four after the Bachelor of Science in Criminology, Bachelor of Public Administration, and Bachelor of Elementary Education.
The TSU – Concepcion Campus was completed in August last year, but subsequent improvements brought the total cost of the school to P86 million.
Mayor Noel Villanueva said that the privately-funded Concepcion Scholarship Foundation, Inc. will give P3,000 in financial assistance to each student of the school. This will be in addition to the P6,000 that each TSU student from the Third Congressional District of Tarlac – Concepcion, Capas, La Paz, and Bamban – receives from the office of Rep. Noel ‘Bong’ Rivera.
There are currently 75 students enrolled in Education, Public Administration, and Criminology at the TSU – Concepcion Campus.
