Tarlakenyo artisans showcase crafts in Germany

TARLAC CITY, Tarlac (Feb. 6, 2023) — The penultimate day of the trade fair for consumer goods at the Philippine Pavilion of Ambiente in Frankfurt, Germany, was filled with frenzied visitors, investors, and buyers of Tarlakenyo crafts.

Tarlac, known for its farming, is also becoming a center for artisanal goods made from materials like wood, stone, clay, and rattan, which are noted for their fine craftsmanship and intricate details.

Ten of the 30 participating brands and manufacturers are from the province of Tarlac, broadening the opportunities for Filipino creators in the home, fashion, and lifestyle industries globally.

“We believe that art has the power to awaken minds and hearts of the people. This is why, with great pride, we share with you the participation of 10 local artists we have been supporting in the Ambiente Fair in Germany.

“Let us give our well wishes to all the 30 artists representing the country.
World-class talaga ang galing ng Pinoy!” Tarlac Governor Susan Yap said on social media.

The lady governor is currently in Germany, together with several local government officials.
