CAPAS, Tarlac (Oct. 16, 2022) — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) made a surprise inspection of weighing scales being used in the market here.
Two out of the 147 analog and digital weighing scales inspected were found to be defective and were turned over to the Office of the Market Administrator.
“This is one of the initiatives of the agency being conducted in partnership with the municipal government through Local Price Coordinating Council and the consumer organization and part of our advocacy to promote consumer welfare and protection,” DTI OIC-Provincial Director Florencia Balilo said.
