TARLAC CITY, Tarlac (Dec. 18, 2023) — Governor Susan Yap and Rep. Christian Yap graced the unveiling of the Taiwan Technical Mission demonstration farm in Barangay Sapang Maragul here.
Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines Representative, Ambassador Wallace Minn-Gan Chow, in his welcome speech, said that the farm is a “substantial milestone” in the Taiwan-Philipine agricultural cooperation.
The demo farm boasts an all-automatic remotely-controlled typhoon-resilient farm that can produce year-round and off-season produce.
Meanwhile, Tarlac Congressman Yap thanked the ambassador and wished “a more fruitful collaboration between Tarlac and Taiwan.”
The other dignitaries who attended the unveiling ceremony were Manila Economic and Cultural Office Representative Silvestre Bello III, former Department of Agriculture Secretary William Dar, and Secretary General Charles Li of the Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund.
