TARLAC CITY, Tarlac (Oct. 30, 2025) — Katrina Theresa Angeles-Go took control of the contentious leadership helm of this capital city after she was sworn in this afternoon
After the five working days since the nullification of City Mayor Susan Yap’s proclamation by the Commission on Elections en banc, the erstwhile vice mayor assumed the role of city mayor, just like her mother, now Congresswoman Cristy Angeles.
“No matter what roles or positions I take, it will always be a privilege to serve our people. No matter how circumstances may change, taumbayan pa rin po ang uunahin natin,” Angeles added.
Angeles took her oath of office before Judge Eric Voltaire Pablo of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities Branch 2, Tarlac City, at the Sangguniang Panlungsod session hall this afternoon.
Yap has yet to issue a statement after she was presumptively removed from City Hall.
