BAMBAN, Tarlac — A person with disability (PWD) vlogger was beaten to death by a group of men following a brawl on Sunday night, July 5, 2026.
Police identified the victim as Arjay Yumul, popularly known online as “Katotzkie Vlog,” who succumbed to brain hemorrhage.
A grainy video circulating online shows two groups of men engaged in a brawl with the victim seen lunging and throwing a punch against another man.
According to reports, the incident started in front of Fuel Point Gas Station and ended near the Iglesia Ni Cristo chapel some 30 meters away in Barangay San Nicolas Dapdap.
Yumul, a resident of the neighboring Brgy. Lourdes Dapdap, has complete phocomelia, a condition where a hand is present but the arm itself is missing or severely shortened.
The Bamban Municipal Police Station said that they have identified the individuals responsible for the fatal assault on Yumul and are preparing to file the appropriate criminal charges against the suspects.
In an official statement, the Bamban PNP strongly condemned the violent attack, emphasizing that the command does not tolerate any form of violence, particularly against vulnerable sectors like PWDs. The local police assured the public that all complaints are investigated fairly and thoroughly, promising that anyone proven to have broken the law will be held accountable.
Authorities continue to urge the public to cooperate with law enforcement by providing accurate and useful information that can aid the ongoing investigation and help maintain peace and order in the community.
