GERONA, Tarlac (May 13, 2026) – The rugged trails of Gerona Ecotourism Park recently came alive as the Gerona Endurocross: Trail Unleashed officially wrapped up, leaving behind a trail of adrenaline, camaraderie, and unforgettable moments on Sunday, May 10.
Spearheaded by Gerona Municipal Mayor May Eclar, the event saw fearless riders conquer challenging terrain through sheer determination, skill, and endurance. Each category delivered high-octane action, showcasing the true spirit of enduro racing marked not just by competition but also by sportsmanship and brotherhood among participants.
“Congratulations to all participating riders, winners, organizers, sponsors, and supporters for making this event a remarkable success,” Mayor Eclar said. “Thank you for bringing energy and excitement to Gerona’s trails.”
The local chief executive was joined by Vice Mayor Eloy Eclar, both present throughout the event to support the racers and enthusiasts.
Adding to the excitement, Governor Christian Yap personally took part in the action—riding a motorcycle along the very same trail.
Governor Yap expressed his joy in joining the event, emphasizing that programs like Trail Unleashed are more than just sources of fun and thrill.
“Ang mga ganitong programa ay hindi lamang nagbibigay saya at excitement, kundi nagsisilbing pagkakataon upang higit pang mapaigting ang turismo, bike at motorsports tourism, at aktibong pamumuhay sa ating lalawigan,” Governor Yap said. He added that Tarlac is steadily emerging as a prime destination for bike and trail tourism in Central Luzon.
The governor also called for continued support for a safe and responsible motorsports community in the province. As the dust settles on another successful event, organizers and riders alike are already looking forward to the next ride.
