This United States-led initiative aims to create a secure and innovation-driven supply chain that integrates semiconductors, critical minerals, and advanced AI infrastructure among a network of trusted nations.
The site has been designated as a “Golden Node,” a specialized model for AI-native investment hubs designed to move away from traditional factory setups in favor of next-generation manufacturing ecosystems. It will also house the first Pax Silica Coordination Office, acting as a convergence point for government agencies, research institutions, and international technology firms.
During a roundtable discussion with the US-ASEAN Business Council and the US Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C., Finance Secretary Frederick Go emphasized that the Philippines is ready for immediate investment in several key sectors.
Beyond the technological developments in Tarlac, the government is pitching opportunities in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, renewable energy, and electronics to American investors.
Go highlighted the country’s strategic mineral resources and geographic location as critical assets that are now being harnessed for the industries of the future.
