NEW CLARK CITY, Tarlac (January 5, 2026) – Training for Filipino athletes will now be easier, thanks to the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), as it has allowed year-round access to its sports facilities in New Clark City.
The agreement between the BCDA and the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) grants national teams regular use of the competition-grade Athletics Stadium, Aquatics Center, and Athletes’ Village. It aims to sustain athlete preparation for international events while maximizing the government’s sports infrastructure.
The arrangement supports consistent, science-based training on high-quality tracks and pools, with on-site housing reducing logistical costs.
“This is truly a partnership made in heaven,” PSC chairman Patrick Gregorio said. “BCDA develops and manages high-value infrastructure, while PSC ensures these facilities are maximized for our national teams.”
