CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga (Nov. 18, 2025) – The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) celebrated its partnership with the press in Central Luzon with a Media Forward and Appreciation Day.
The activity, held at Lola Ima restaurant in Barangay Bulaon here, saw Tarlac’s Marilyn Tiamzon of DZTC AM station and Bonifacio Dacayanan of Facts & Figures receive recognitions for their outstanding contribution to significant and wide communication of PhilHealth’s programs.
Henry Almanon, Acting Vice President of PhilHealth Regional Office III, thanked the media for their invaluable contributions in the dissemination of the agency’s health services, especially the YAKAP program.
PhilHealth’s YAKAP program (Yaman ng Kalusugan Program) is an expanded primary care benefit package aimed at providing comprehensive, accessible, and affordable healthcare services to all Filipinos to promote prevention and early detection of diseases. It is the enhanced version of the previous PhilHealth Konsulta program.
The national health provider’s Region III Public Affairs Office and Social Media team recently won the ASEAN Social Security Association Recognition Award for Strategic Communications in Brunei Darussalam.
