BAMBAN, Tarlac – Hann Foundation, Inc. (HFI) formally turned over a new Inclusive Learning Resource Center (ILRC) to DapDap Resettlement Elementary School (DRES) here on September 30, 2026. The facility is designed for learners with diverse and special educational needs.
The ILRC has dedicated spaces for a Counselling Room, Developmental Assessment and Simulation Area, Audio Room, Speech Therapy Room, and Physical/Occupational Therapy Simulation Room. The project also included improvements to the ALS Room, ALS/ILRC Administration Room, a library, a Daily Living Skills Room, and a Multi-Purpose Hall.
The ceremony was attended by local government representatives led by Mayor Jose Salting Jr., and the Department of Education Region III represented by Dr. Joel Guileb. School officials, teachers, and parents were also present.
HFI was represented by Executive Director Ana Christi Galura, Foundation Manager Ronnel Golimlim, and Foundation Administration Manager Mirasol Simon.
DRES School Principal Dr. Grace Ann Maristela thanked HFI, saying the facility is a big help to the school and its teachers. Mayor Salting said “no words can fully express our gratitude,” calling the project a testament to what can be achieved when everyone works together. Dr. Roberto Santos, Public Schools District Supervisor of Bamban, described the ILRC as “buhay, liwanag at pag-asa” for learners.
Dr. Guileb stressed that education should be inclusive and that no learner will be left behind. HFI Executive Director Galura hoped the ILRC will help mold good and responsible people, in line with the DepEd slogan “Magandang Buhay, Mabuting Tao.”
ILRC students gave a heartfelt presentation through song and dance to thank HFI and everyone who made the project possible.
The ILRC promotes educational equity through true inclusivity. More than a facility, it provides a supportive environment where learners with diverse needs can develop their abilities, build confidence, and acquire essential skills for greater independence.
Through the collective efforts of all stakeholders, the ILRC stands as a shared commitment to ensuring that every child is given the opportunity to learn, grow, and reach their full potential.
