TARLAC CITY, Tarlac — The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Tarlac Extension Office issued a scam alert warning the public against several individuals and entities soliciting unauthorized investments without the required secondary licenses from the Commission.
According to the SEC, these groups have been actively soliciting funds from the public by promising guaranteed profits, high interest rates, or high investment returns. Commission investigations revealed that these unauthorized operations lack the requisite registration and licenses to operate as investment solicitors.
Among the entities flagged in the latest SEC advisory are Yepbit/Fidelity Capital Investment Group; Interactive Brokers (IBKR); VT Markets; Brigh Fuel Marketing/Bright Path Global; JFunds Business Center; R/GA Marketing Ltd.; Amari Luxe Aesthetic and Wellness Clinic/CRF Beauty Within Salon and SP; Aura Financing Corporation/Aura Finance and Investments; and Zild Telecommunication Repair Services.
Also highlighted in the warning list were crypto and online trading platforms including HTX (Huobi); Marexx Gadgets and Accessories Shop; Vest Trading Platform; Aevo Trading Platform; gTrade Trading Platform; Pacifica Trading Platform; dYdX Trading Platform; Orderly Trading Platform; Deriv Trading Platform; Ostium Trading Platform; and Xelora.
“Nais ipaalam ng Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) sa publiko na ang mga indibidwal at grupo na nasa abisong ito ay nanghihikayat ng pamumuhunan nang walang kaukulang lisensya mula sa Komisyon,” the advisory stated, reiterating that the listed entities have no authority to collect funds or handle public investments.
The SEC Tarlac Extension Office urged residents across Tarlac province to report any illegal investment activities within their municipalities. Concerns and reports can be submitted directly to the Enforcement and Investor Protection Department through imessage.sec.gov.ph, or directly to the SEC Tarlac Extension Office via telephone at 0931-791-4841 or email at secteo@sec.gov.ph.
