TARLAC CITY, Tarlac ā A P2-million livelihood assistance grant was officially turned over to the Provincial Government of Tarlac last week through the Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
The official handover was made by Jason Ocampo, Chief and Labor and Employment Officer of DOLE, to Governor Christian Yap in Tarlac.
The DILP is a government program intended to increase livelihood and income-generating activities among its beneficiaries.
Provincial officials said that the grant is intended for the implementation of various livelihood programs that would aid in improving the economic situation of their beneficiaries.
The DILP, which is one of the main programs being carried out by the agency, is designed to extend financial help, livelihood kits, and assistance in setting up projects for income generation among workers and marginalized sectors of society and communities.
According to provincial authorities, the financial aid was made possible through the sustained cooperation between the Provincial Government of Tarlac and DOLE for the promotion of employment, entrepreneurship, and other community development activities in the province.
