TARLAC CITY, Tarlac — A total of 45 local artists from Kampo Sining successfully launched “Metamorphosis,” an art exhibition reflecting on change, memory, and resilience, at the Diwa ng Tarlac Gallery on Tuesday, June 23, in partnership with Tarlac Provincial Tourism Office.
The opening ceremony was attended by over 100 visitors, including art enthusiasts and members of the public, who viewed the artworks on display.
Cherrylyn Pascua, Head of the Tarlac Provincial Tourism Office, expressed her support for the event as she congratulated the participants.
“I would like to express my heartfelt congratulations sa lahat ng artist na nag-participate. Ang gagaling po niyo to bringing this exhibit into life and at the same time magsilbi po ang exhibit na ‘to na reminder sa growth and transformation natin,” Pascua said.
Kampo Sining is an art group consisting mainly of artists from Tarlac. The group serves as a platform for its artists to grow through exhibits, art sessions, workshops, and art talks.
“Dito ko nahanap yung belongness as an artist. Ito yung community na pwedeng mag-foster sa young talents. Kampo Sining will continue to grow. Sulong Kampo Sining,” Mark Nylle Baun, Director of the group, said.
Meanwhile, Lois Quinocho, one of the exhibitors, shared the vision behind their entry for the collection.
“Yung art ko abstract siya pero gusto ko kasi yung art na interactive siya. So I made sure na yung art hindi lang siya matitigan but magkakaroon siya ng interaction,” Quinocho explained.
