Tarlac province only has 14 firecracker zones

TARLAC CITY, Tarlac (Dec. 29, 2025) — Tarlac province only has 14 designated community firecracker zones and fireworks display areas.

The list was released by the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) to  safeguard the public during the holiday revelry across Central Luzon, with Tarlac province designating 14 selling zones and 8 display areas.

The authorized zones in Tarlac are spread across various municipalities, each established through local ordinances and executive orders.

Tarlac City has designated Ninoy Aquino Boulevard in Barangay Cut-Cut 1st as its firecracker zone, with the City Plazuela in Poblacion and Maria Cristina Park in San Vicente as official fireworks display areas.

Other towns like Paniqui, San Clemente, and Gerona have designated both selling and display areas in central locations such as public plazas and municipal compounds.

Conversely, municipalities including Pura, Ramos, Camiling, Capas, and San Manuel have specified firecracker selling zones but have not authorized community fireworks display areas, listing them as “None” or “Negative.”

The authority for these designations rests on local legislation, such as Paniqui’s Ordinance No. 2006-17, Ramos’s Municipal Ordinance No. 22, and San Manuel’s Municipal Ordinance # 2023-12. Some areas, like Gerona and La Paz, operate under executive orders implementing national policy, specifically Executive Order No. 28 (2017).

Meanwhile, the Tarlac Police Provincial Office, under Acting Provincial Director PCol. Franklin Estoro, joined PRO3 Regional Director PBGen Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr., in a ceremonial disposal of confiscated illegal firecrackers at Camp Olivas in Pampanga earlier today, Dec. 29, 2025. The activity aimed to reinforce the PNP’s strict enforcement of laws on prohibited pyrotechnics ahead of the New Year 2026 celebration.
