SMC waives toll fees on New Year’s Eve

TARLAKENYO (Dec. 29, 2025) – In keeping with its annual year-end tradition, San Miguel Corporation (SMC) suspended toll collection across all its expressways from 10 PM on December 31, 2025, to 6 AM on January 1, 2026.

This initiative is designed to ensure smoother and safer travel for motorists during one of the busiest nights of the holiday season.

The toll waiver covered SMC’s entire expressway network, including Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX), Skyway, South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), NAIA Expressway, and STAR Tollway.

“We want to help families and travelers welcome the New Year with less stress on the road,” an SMC representative stated.

“This annual waiver is our way of supporting safe and convenient late-night travel for everyone heading to celebrations or returning home,” he added.

SMC Infrastructure implemented comprehensive measures to ensure safety and traffic management throughout the holiday period. Beginning December 20, emergency response teams, tow trucks, and traffic monitoring centers were placed on 24/7 standby to address incidents and monitor real-time conditions. All non-essential roadworks were suspended from December 20 until January 4 to minimize disruptions.

The toll-free period has become a year-end tradition for SMC, providing relief to thousands of motorists during peak holiday travel.
