CONCEPCION, Tarlac (November 26, 2024) — The local version of the Balay Silangan and Bahay Kalinga here is nearing completion as Mayor Noel Villanueva posted photos of the ongoing construction.
Balé Lugud is a local government project funded by Senator Joel Villanueva. The two-building compound will shelter abused women and children, abandoned elderly, and people in recovery.
Mayor Villanueva said the project used to be a dream but has become a reality.
“Pangarap namin na magkaroon ng shelter para sa mga abused women and children, abandoned elderly and people in need of recovery. Ultimate objective ng ating bayan na maging ‘balen malugud’ (loving town) ito,” the chief executive said.
The P50-million project is expected to be completed by December 27, 2024. The project broke ground on June 20, 2024.
