Soldiers selling shabu arrested

BAMBAN, Tarlac (Feb. 5, 2024) — Three soldiers were arrested here yesterday by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents after yielding some P340,000 worth of crystal methamphetamine (shabu) in a buy-bust operation.

The PDEA and Tarlac police’s 9 pm joint operation in Barangay Anupul here resulted in the arrest of Sergeant Roquero, Corporal Delmoral, and Corporal Feliciano. According to PDEA Central Luzon, all three suspects are enlisted personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Aside from the shabu, also seized a blue Suzuki Dzire vehicle driven by the suspects. They also recovered the marked peso bills used by a PDEA agent in the sting operation. The soldiers will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
