DPWH Opens new P305-m Paniqui bridge

PANIQUI, Tarlac (Sept. 10, 2023) — A new parallel bridge was inaugurated on Aug. 31 by Tarlac First District Congressional representative Jaime Cojuangco and this town’s Vice-Mayor Bien Roxas.

The P305 million bridge was built parallel to the existing Barangobong Bridge 1 along the Paniqui-Camiling-Wawa Road in Barangay Rang-ayan here.

The two-lane, 324.8-meter parallel bridge was funded over three fiscal years from 2020 to 2022, enhancing the inter-province connectivity and will also serve as an alternative route to Pangasinan.

Rep. Cojuangco emphasized the importance of proactive problem-solving for unexpected connectivity and accessibility challenges, underscoring the newly inaugurated bridge’s role as a significant solution, further enhancing transportation and accessibility in Tarlac and neighboring areas, thereby ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability.
