CONCEPCION, Tarlac (Aug. 5, 2023) — The Tarlac Press and Radio Club (TPRC) paid a courtesy visit to this town’s chief executive yesterday to make a donation to their scholarship foundation.
TPRC president Marilyn Tiamzon handed a cash donation of P15,000 to town mayor Noel Villanueva.
“Maliit na halaga lamang po ito na sana ay makatulong sa inyong mga scholars. Naniniwala kami sa inyong adhikain na makatulong sa inyong mga estudyante,” Tiamzon said. Tiamzon is a veteran broadcast journalist of DZTC Radyo Pilipino.
Mayor Villanueva thanked the organization for their contribution.
“Malaking bagay na ito dahil marami kaming dapat na matulungang deserving students,” Villanueva said.
The town mayor revealed that since the incorporation of the Concepcion Scholarship Foundation Inc. last year, they now have P11.5 million.
“Ang mga donasyon ay galing sa mga negosyante, mga empleyado, from all walks of life na gusto ring makatulong sa aming mga kababayan. Kahit P50 lang ay nakakatuulong ito,” Villanueva added.
TPRC was founded in 1964 and is one of the oldest media organizations in the province of Tarlac.
