CONCEPCION, Tarlac (August 2, 2023) — About 800 families from Barangay Santa Monica here received cash assistance from the municipal government after floodwaters submerged houses and farmlands.
Each affected family was given P1,000 in assistance from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development under their Assistance to Individual Crisis Situation program.
“Our first priority is to distribute aid to those affected by the flooding in the barangay,” Mayor Noel Villanueva said.
The chief executive was joined by Sangguniang Bayan Members Sein Gomez, Erwin James Villanueva, Jayson Lagman, Saturnino Mandal, Calvin Sardia, and Carlo Avena, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the Municipal Treasury in their two-day relief operations.
“We hope that this small cash amount will at least help the families even just a little bit,” Councilor Lagman said.
