CAMILING, Tarlac (May 31, 2023) — This town’s Acting Municipal Fire Marshal was relieved from duty after a fire gutted the dry goods section of the public market last Sunday.
Relieved was Insp. Fernando Duran, who was then reassigned to OPFM in Tarlac. replacing him is Insp. Crisanto Olinda.
The Bureau of Fire Protection Tarlac Provincial Office cited “responded late with lack of preparedness on the part of the responding team” as the main reasons for his relief.
Also reassigned are FO3 Nickzon Mendoza, FO1 Gilbert Rillera, FO1 Kathleen Lagmay, FO1 Domingo Costales Jr, and FO1 Aldwin Mangoba – now all reassigned at OPFM Tarlac.
Mayor Erlon Agustin supported the decision of BFP Tarlac.
“Asahan po ninyo na tututukan kong maigi ang ginagwang imbestigasyon ng BFP sa kaso ng kanilang mga personnel na nagpabaya sa tungkulin.
“Sa kabila nito, patuloy parin po ang ating ginagawang hiwalay na imbestigasyon upang matukoy ang mga naging pagkukulang at naging sanhi ng sunog,” the local chief executive said.
