Sony’s two new hi-res Walkman players are here

TARLAKENYO (Feb. 09, 2023) — Sony has unveiled two new Walkman players, the NW-ZX707 and NW-A306, which are intended to provide audio and music aficionados with high-quality listening experiences.

The NW-ZX707 has a 5-inch display, Wi-Fi capability, fine-tuned capacitors, an FTCAP3 (High polymer capacitor), and a huge solid high polymer capacitor with high capacitance and low resistance.

The NW-A306 aims to provide a pleasant listening experience on the road with its tiny 3.6-inch display, complete Wi-Fi capability, and tactile physical music controls.

Both the NW-ZX707 and NW-A306 are equipped with Edge-AI (Artificial Intelligence) and DSEE UltimateTM (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine), which enhances compressed digital audio files in real time.

Sony claims that the improving algorithm now provides even more advantages for CD-quality (16-bit 44.1/48kHz) lossless codec audio.

Sony claims that the NW-ZX707 and NW-A306 have a longer battery life compared to prior generations.

The battery life of the NW-ZX707 is up to 25 hours 1 for 44.1kHz FLAC playing, up to 23 hours 1 for 96 kHz FLAC High-Resolution Audio playback, and up to 22 hours 2 even while streaming.

The NW-A306 has a battery life of up to 36 hours 1 for 44.1kHz FLAC playback, up to 32 hours 1 for 96kHz FLAC high-resolution music playback, and up to 26 hours 2 with streaming service applications.

Both Walkmans will be available in select Sony Authorized Dealers nationwide beginning February 10, 2023.
