TARLAC CITY, Tarlac (Jan. 4, 2023) — Ten Tarlakenyos were chosen to take participate in the “Ambiente 2023,” a trade fair to be held at Frankfurt Messe, Germany.
The Tarlakenyos are part of 30-strong Filipino exhibitors who will feature their products in the fair slated on February 3 to 7, 2023.
The delegation is part of several micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and artisan communities in the home, fashion, and lifestyle industries.
“We are excited for the competitive roster of exhibitors which will be featured in the 2023 edition of Ambiente,” the Department of Trade and Industry’s Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions executive Dr. Edward Fereira said.
Ambiente is known to be a meeting point for buyers and suppliers from around the world and has brought international renown to participating countries by prioritizing four product areas for dining, living, giving, and working while taking into consideration sustainability, material innovation, and design breakthroughs and trends.
Tarlac is the country’s Partner Artisan Community at the German lifestyle trade fair.
“We saw their potential through the creative products they make,” Tarlac Governor Susan Yap said back in 2020, just before the staging of Ambiente was canceled due to the pandemic.
“That is why we made it a part of our initiatives to push them even further. Assisting them in joining events like Ambiente will put us in the global marketplace,” Yap added.
