CAPAS, Tarlac (June 11, 2024) — New Clark City is set to become a leading industrial hub in the country, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) said.
The hub is expected to attract local and foreign investors, especially Singaporeans.
The BCDA statement came after the recent meeting between President Bongbong Marcos and Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong.
“With his [Marcos] support, we can certainly attract more investors to choose this area as they pursue expansion and investment opportunities,” said Joshua Bingcang, BCDA president and chief executive officer.
Marcos told Wong that the Philippines plans to develop New Clark City into a world-class industrial center open to Singaporean investors.
New Clark City has seen rapid development in the last few years as an investment haven and tourist destination in the heart of Central Luzon.
