CAMILING, Tarlac – The municipal government of Camiling, led by Mayor Joyce Agustin, successfully conducted the turnover ceremony of Project LAWA and Project BINHI to beneficiaries from Barangays Anoling 2nd, Papaac, Bacsay, and Manaquem on October 1, 2026.
The turnover marks the formal awarding of support and resources to farmer-beneficiaries under the Risk Resiliency Program, which is implemented in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO).
Project LAWA (Local Adaptation to Water Access) and Project BINHI (Breaking Insufficiency through Nutritious Harvest for the Impoverished) are flagship programs that aim to strengthen food security, promote sustainable livelihood, and enhance the capacity of local communities to adapt to the effects of climate change.
In her message, Mayor Agustin expressed her joy over the successful implementation of the program and commended the beneficiaries for their hard work and dedication.
“Saludo kami sa inyong sipag, tiyaga, at dedikasyon na naging mahalagang bahagi ng tagumpay ng programang ito. Nawa’y magsilbi itong dagdag na oportunidad upang mapalakas ang inyong kabuhayan,” the mayor said.
She also extended her sincere gratitude to the DSWD and the MSWDO for their continued support in implementing programs that provide opportunities, hope, and capability-building for residents.
“Taos-pusong pasasalamat sa DSWD at sa ating MSWDO sa kanilang patuloy na suporta sa mga programang nagbibigay ng oportunidad, pag-asa, at kakayahan sa ating mga kababayan,” she added.
The local chief executive called on residents to remain united and continue working together toward a more prosperous, stable, and progressive Camiling.
“Patuloy tayong magkaisa at magtulungan tungo sa mas masagana, matatag, at maunlad na bayan ng Camiling,” Mayor Agustin concluded.
The turnover ceremony was attended by local officials, representatives from the DSWD and MSWDO, barangay leaders, and farmer-beneficiaries from the four barangays.
