SAN JOSE, Tarlac (April 1, 2026) — The Provincial Government of Tarlac has once again extended its compassionate service to communities in need, distributing rice assistance to 100 indigenous families in Sitio Baag, San Jose, on March 30.
The aid distribution was made possible through funding from the Local Government Support Fund – Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (LGSF-FALGU), a program under the national government. A similar distribution was earlier held in Barangay O’Donnell, Capas.
The initiative is part of a series of programs led by the Provincial Government of Tarlac under Governor Christian Yap, together with Vice Governor Lita Aquino. The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), in coordination with local government units, continues to oversee the implementation to ensure the program’s success and efficiency.
The effort reflects the government’s commitment to reaching every citizen, especially those in far-flung communities, through the collaboration of national and local authorities in building a more progressive future for the province.
“Kahit na kalayuan dito sa amin sa Sitio Baag, naisipan niyo pa rin po kaming tulungan,” one resident expressed.
The indigenous residents of Sitio Baag expressed joy and gratitude after receiving the rice aid from the provincial government under the LGSF-FALGU program.
The distribution is part of a broader government initiative led by Governor Yap and Vice Governor Aquino, aimed at strengthening cooperation between national and local governments to deliver quality public service directly to residents in remote areas.
