NEW CLARK CITY, Tarlac (Feb. 13, 2026) — The province of Tarlac is celebrating the 26th Hot Air Balloon Festival at New Clark City, with colorful balloons now flying in the sky.
Governor Christian Yap expressed his happiness over the event, which started today, February 13 and will run until February 15.
“Sa unang araw ng 26th Hot Air Balloon Festival dito sa New Clark City, buong puso nating nasasaksihan ang makulay na paglipad ng mga lobo sa ating kalangitan isang simbolo ng pag-asa, progreso, at pagkakaisa ng ating lalawigan,” Yap said.
The governor said he is proud that Tarlac is hosting an event of this size.
“Bilang inyong Gobernador, I am proud to see Tarlac hosting an event of this scale bringing in visitors, creating opportunities for our local businesses, at ipinapakita ang tunay na galing at hospitality ng bawat Tarlaqueño,” he added.
The province held a Pilots Welcome Dinner for flyers from different countries last night.
“Lubos po nating ikinagagalak ang mainit na pagtanggap sa ating mga piloto at bisita mula sa iba’t ibang panig ng mundo. Ang kanilang presensya ay patunay na patuloy na lumilipad pataas ang turismo at pag-unlad ng ating lalawigan,” Yap said.
He said the province takes pride in showing its culture and hospitality to international guests.
To help people attend the event, the provincial government teamed up with Philippine Rabbit Bus Lines and KKK Turbo Fuel to give free roundtrip rides.
“Tarlaqueños… Mas pinadali at mas pinasaya namin ang inyong pagpunta! Walang hassle, walang pamasahe — enjoy lang sa balloons, shows, at picture-perfect moments!” Yap said.
The free shuttle picks up passengers at KKK in San Rafael, Tarlac City, and drops them off at the Athletics Stadium in New Clark City.
Yap thanked PIHABF Event Director Joy Roa, BCDA President Joshua Bingcang, and all the organizers and partners for their help in making the event successful.
“Tara na at suportahan natin at manood tayo ng 26th Hot Air Balloon Festival dito sa New Clark City, Tarlac!” the governor said.
