BAMBAN, Tarlac (Jan. 13, 2026) — The Provincial Government of Tarlac, under the leadership of Governor Christian Tell Yap, affirmed its strong support for local development with the successful inauguration of the new Bamban Public Market in Barangay Anupul on January 12.
Governor Yap, alongside Mayor Joey Salting, Congressman Noel “Bong” Rivera, and Board Member Carlito “Casada” David, led the ceremonial blessing and opening of the modern market—a project made possible through collaborative funding initiatives, including support from Senator Bong Go.
In his message, Governor Yap emphasized that the market is more than just a building. “Lubos kong ikinatutuwa ang matagumpay na inauguration at blessing ng bagong public market ng Bamban. Ang proyektong ito ay bunga ng sama-samang pagsisikap upang mabigyan ng mas maayos, ligtas, at episyenteng lugar ang ating mga mamimili at manininda,” he stated.
He described the market as “a symbol of the growth of the local economy and proof of our continued care for the livelihood of the people of Bamban.”
Governor Yap also highlighted Bamban’s strategic importance, noting, “Bamban is one of the economies we see growing fastest in our province, with many new investors in nearby areas.” He reiterated the provincial government’s “Tao Muna” (People First) priority, focusing on human development and improving the quality of life for all Tarlaqueños.
The governor commended the unity between local and provincial officials, adding, “Importante ay nagkakaisa, nagtutulungan kami nina Mayor Joey at Congressman Noel para sa mas magandang kinabukasan ng bayan ng Bamban at ng probinsya ng Tarlac.”
The new market stands as a testament to the Provincial Government of Tarlac’s active collaboration with municipal leaders to deliver infrastructure that boosts economic activity, supports local vendors, and enhances the daily lives of residents across the province.
