CONCEPCION, Tarlac (October 15, 2024) — The local government here conducted a random drug testing this morning.
The Rural Health Unit headed by Dr. Benjamin Bengco conducted the testing with the assistance of some police personnel, who monitored the taking of specimen samples from the selected employees.
Mayor Noel Villanueva said the local government must be free from the hazards of drug use.
“I will not tolerate any government employee who is a drug user. Government offices must remain drug-free for us to serve the public efficiently and effectively,” Villanueva said shortly after being elected mayor in 2022.
None of the 50 employees who underwent the drug testing tested positive.
