DBM to finalize ‘possible increase’ of govt workers’ salaries

TARLAKENYO (June 11, 2024) — The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) released a statement today saying that the study on the possible increase of government workers’ salaries might be finalized by the end of June 2024.

The comprehensive study explores various aspects of the current compensation system, including salaries, benefits, and allowances and identify areas for improvement.

The study involves comparing the salaries with those of the private sector and accounting for the effects of inflation.

When finalized, the consultant commissioned by the Governance Commission for Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations (GCG) will present the accepted results of the study to the DBM and GCG.

The DBM said that it is ready to support the implementation of the salary adjustment once approved.
