BAMBAN, Tarlac (June 4, 2024) — More heads are rolling as the investigations into the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator operations in this town continue.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) said that 49 police officers were relieved from their posts and will be assigned to the Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit of the Police Regional Office-3 (PRO-3).
The 47 personnel and two police officials, not including the chief of police, of the Bamban Municipal Police Station were reassigned to the Regional Police Holding and Accounting Unit and will undergo a focus reformation and reorientation training program.
According to Police Regional Office 3 chief P/Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr, the relief of the 49 members of the Bamban police is effective on June 3, 2024. The turnover and relief were only made this morning.
The town’s local police force will be reinforced by the PRO-3 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Companies and nearby Tarlac City and the towns of Concepcion and Capas.
The PNP assured that police service in Bamban will not be hampered following the overhaul.
