DPWH installs road safety devices in San Jose

SAN JOSE, Tarlac (Feb. 6, 2024) — A stretch of road in this town has become a lot safer for motorists and pedestrians as safety devices were installed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) last week.

The installation of LED street lights, warning and informative signages as well as solar pavement markers are engineering safety measures to create safer roads for motorists along the 5.18-kilometer portion of the Ecotourism Park Access Road.

According to DPWH Tarlac First District Engineer Neil Farala theP100.3 million project is to improve road safety in the area.

“To deliver our commitment to improve road safety, we will continue to assess and efficiently address issues on accident-prone roads to minimize if not totally eradicate the risk of accidents,” Farala said.
