Non-agriculture sector: P449-P500
Agriculture sector: P442 – P470
Retail and service establishments: P384 – P489
This was the announcement made by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) – Central Luzon yesterday after public consultations wrapped up its series of public consultations across all provinces in Central Luzon that started on July 18, 2023, and ended on Sept. 15, 2023.
The prevailing minimum wage rates in Central Luzon (except Aurora) range from ₱414 to ₱460, depending on the number of employees and sector. Aurora’s daily minimum wage rates range from ₱344 to ₱409.
The daily wage for workers in non-agricultural establishments in Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Zambales will increase to P500 from the current P460 for establishments with 10 or more employees, while the daily wage will be P493 from the current P453 for those with less than 10 employees.
According to Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma, more regional wage boards will announce minimum pay hikes for the private sector.
“There is more. Because so far only six (wage boards) have finished (announced wage hikes) the National Capital Region, Regions 4-A (Calabarzon), 7 (Central Visayas), 2 (Cagayan Valley), 3 (Central Luzon) and Soccsksargen (12). That is motu proprio. It means that with or without a petition, RTWPBs are doing their jobs,” Laguesma said.
