TARLAC CITY, Tarlac (Feb. 25, 2026) — In a bid to bring employment opportunities closer to aspiring aviation professionals, Philippine Airlines (PAL) conducted a recruitment caravan at the Bulwagan ng Kanlahi on February 25, 2026, drawing jobseekers not only from Tarlac but also from neighboring regions.
Dubbed “Muling PALiparin ang husay at galing nating mga Tarlaqueño,” the event was organized in coordination with the Provincial Government of Tarlac, Tarlac City Government, and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO). It aimed to connect local talents with potential careers in the aviation industry, particularly as cabin crew members.
Hundreds of applicants from Region 3 and the National Capital Region (NCR) attended the caravan, all eager to take the first step toward their dream of flying. Among those who inspired the crowd was Trisha Sarmiento, a native of San Jose, Tarlac, who is now a full-fledged cabin crew member of PAL.
“Dumaan din ako sa posisyon niyo na ‘yan. One thing I can tell you guys is to not let the negative thoughts eat your mind. Always stay positive and the most important thing is to be who you are,” Sarmiento shared during her motivational talk.
The activity was also graced by Vice Governor Lita Aquino and local leaders who expressed full support for the initiative. In a Facebook post, Tarlac Governor Christian Yap commended the applicants for their courage and determination.
Tarlac City Mayor Susan Yap also addressed the applicants, reminding them of the important role they will play as frontliners of the country’s tourism and service industry.
“Kayo ang magiging unang mukha ng bawat Pilipino, so I hope you carry that pride all the way… We like to travel, we like to spread our wings, we like to discover, and I think this is your gateway. I wish you all the best, put your best foot forward like you did today,” she said.
The recruitment caravan is part of the provincial government’s broader effort to bring job opportunities closer to Tarlaqueños through partnerships with private and public institutions. It also highlights the growing interest in aviation careers among young Filipinos and the commitment of local government units to support workforce development.
As the event concluded, many applicants left with renewed hope and inspiration—ready to take on the challenge of soaring high with Philippine Airlines.
