TARLAC CITY, Tarlac (Jan. 7, 2026) – The city government of Tarlac, under the leadership of Mayor Susan Yap, carried out its fifth Financial Assistance Payout on January 7, 2026, at the Tarlac City Hall, benefiting 230 residents facing various medical and emergency expenses.
The ongoing aid program is part of the local government’s commitment to extend support for healthcare and other urgent needs. In her Facebook post, Mayor Susan Yap emphasized the importance of proactive health management: “Paalala natin sa lahat: alagaan ang ating kalusugan, panatilihin ang isang healthy lifestyle, mag-ingat, at magpatingin agad kapag kinakailangan. Mas mainam ang pag-iwas kaysa paggagamot”, and reaffirmed the city’s dedication to fostering a healthier and more resilient community.
According to the city government’s report, the assistance was allocated for a range of necessities: medical needs (1 recipient), therapy (3), chemotherapy (5), dialysis (8), laboratory services (16), hospital bills (91), maintenance medicine (82), burial assistance (22), and aid for fire victims (2).
One of the beneficiaries, Francisca Torres from Barangay Aguso, expressed her gratitude, sharing that her mother’s hospital stays did not cost them a single peso thanks to the assistance provided. She extended her heartfelt thanks to Mayor Yap for the timely support.
The initiative reflects the city’s unwavering dedication to easing the financial burdens of its residents, especially during difficult times. Under the “Serbisyong MaYap” banner, the local government reiterated its principle of putting people first, ensuring that every Tarlaqueño has a reliable partner to turn to in moments of need.
